Club of Rome Digital Content Creator
- Full-Time
- Remote
Job Description:
About the role:
We are looking for a talented and versatile digital content creator to join our communications team. This is a hands-on production role for someone who thrives on making compelling graphics and short-form videos that bring complex ideas to life for diverse audiences.
You will work closely with the communications team across multiple projects - including the Club of Rome, The 50 Percent, Earth4All and The Fifth Element – to deliver high-quality visual and video content at pace, across a range of styles and briefs. You are a skilled executor as well as a creative thinker, equally comfortable following a detailed brief and proactively bringing fresh ideas to the table.
Responsibilities:
Content production
- Design and produce social media graphics, carousels and short-form videos for use across Instagram, LinkedIn, Bluesky, YouTube and other emerging platforms as required.
- Deliver content in a range of visual styles, adapting to the distinct brand identities of multiple projects and initiatives.
- Work to quick turnarounds without compromising quality, managing multiple briefs simultaneously.
- Supporting other members of the comms team on copywriting and other ad-hoc communications related tasks.
Collaboration and briefing
- Work closely and collaboratively with the team to understand project goals, audiences, and messaging before developing content.
- Contribute to creative brainstorms and proactively bring ideas for content creation
Platform and trend awareness
- Stay ahead of emerging social media trends, platform features, formats, and algorithm changes, and translate these into actionable content opportunities.
- Monitor developments in AI-driven content discovery and search and advise on how our content strategy and optimisation should adapt accordingly.
- Experiment with new formats and tools and share learnings with the wider team.
Quality and consistency
- Ensure all content adheres to relevant brand guidelines and maintains a consistently high standard of visual quality.
- Maintain organised asset libraries and file management to support efficient team workflows.
- Contribute to the evaluation of content performance, sharing insights that inform future production decisions.
Person specification:
Essential
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience producing high-quality, engaging social media graphics and short-form video/reels.
- Proficiency in design and video editing tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Canva Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent).
- Ability to adapt visual style across different brands and project briefs.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, formats and what makes content perform.
- Excellent time management: able to handle multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines.
- A collaborative, communicative working style - proactive about asking questions, responsive to feedback, and easy to work with across a team.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of briefs from concept through to delivery, meeting agreed deadlines.
- Basic understanding of accessibility best practice for digital content (captions, alt text, contrast, etc.).
- Good written English for captioning, titles etc. where required.
Desirable
- Experience working in an NGO, think tank, campaigning organisation or other mission-driven context.
- Familiarity with AI content tools and an interest in how AI is shaping content discovery and social search.
- Photography or on-location filming skills.
